Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant to achieve production targets. Ensure the safe execution of Operations tasks in accordance with procedures, prioritizing safety and reliability. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to support seamless, trouble-free operations and achieve organizational goals.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor all process equipment and conduct related maintenance activities as required.
- Monitor and log the equipment operational parameters in the field regularly.
- Identify and report critical operational abnormalities to Supervisors during field rounds.
- Support and perform Mechanical and Instrument jobs as directed by supervisors.
- Follow stablished O&M instructions.
- Perform troubleshooting to restart compressors after unexpected shutdowns. Conduct plant/system shutdown and start-ups as necessary.
- Coordinate with Supervisors/CRO to monitor and adjust operational parameters during routine operations, start-ups, and shutdowns.
- Pressurize & De-pressurize equipment and pipelines as and when requested/required.
- Review the pressure, delta pressure, temperature and level gauges of all equipment and report the abnormalities to the control room.
- Follow directions from Supervisor and CRO based on plant conditions to ensure stable operations and optimize production.
- Participate in periodic reviews of existing procedures and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Perform and support daily, monthly, and quarterly checks, as well as frontline maintenance, as required.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance by conducting isolation, draining, decontamination, and other necessary procedures.
- Hand over all the necessary information to the next shift team to maintain and or improve the plant performance.
- Identify, report and if possible, correct unsafe conditions of any kind
- Conduct the regular daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational and maintenance checks based on pre-planned schedules.
- Ensure safe handling and top-up of Chemicals, lubricants, Coolants and collect samples as required.
- Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the plant during and after routine maintenance and operations .
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with clients and customers, as directed by the Supervisor. Responds to day – to – day request.
- Able to work at different locations as Operational needs.
- Adhere to Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles and responsibilities as assigned by site management.
- Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.
Job Skills, Qualifications and Experiences
- Minimum a technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role Gas Compression Plants.
- Familiar with Gas plant equipment, processes, and all ongoing activities.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, information analysis, and interpersonal skills.
- Full understanding how Waukesha / CAT engines and Ariel compressors works, cooling system, lubrication system, fuel system, air system.
- Good understanding of Plant PFDs, P & IDs, drawings, Cause & Effect matrix, and Fire & Gas detection system philosophy.
- Good understanding of Maintenance Management System (Work orders, Preventive/Corrective/and Predictive Maintenance) methodology.
- Computer proficiency is mandatory. Good working knowledge of typical Microsoft suite of software is required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good English command, written and spoken. Arabic is an asset.

Working Conditions
- Remote site working conditions, hot and humid climate, long working hours and vibrating platforms.
- Different shift schedules. Available on call.
