Summary
The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with established quality standards, procedures, specifications, and regulations. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our projects and operations.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Quality Assurance (QA):
- Develop and implement QA procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Review project plans and procedures to identify quality issues and suggest improvements.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Work with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and non-conformances.
Quality Control (QC):
- Establish and maintain QC processes to monitor project performance and product/service quality.
- Inspect and test materials, components, and products to meet specifications.
- Document and report inspection results and corrective actions.
- Implement corrective measures to address and prevent quality issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of QA/QC activities, including inspection reports and test results.
- Prepare and share quality reports and documentation with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Assist project teams in developing progress reports and quality metrics.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management:
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors based on quality systems and performance.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance through audits and evaluations.
- Communicate quality requirements and ensure compliance with contracts.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving QA/QC processes, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis to address recurring quality issues.
- Facilitate training and knowledge sharing to improve the quality management skills of project staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- Proficient with email system - Microsoft Outlook preferred;
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methodologies, techniques, and tools.
