Process Engineer

Summary

Process Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing industrial processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. They must have a deep understanding of the technical and engineering principles involved in the production process, as well as the ability to identify and solve problems.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Discuss with the Customer’s process engineer to assess existing processes.
  • Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
  • Experience in 3D design software such STAAD Pro, AutoCAD.
  • Performing risk assessments.
  • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.
  • Perform pipeline route selection, trenching/ backfilling requirements, crossing design, and external corrosion protection design.
  • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.
  • Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience 3-5 years in engineering or construction for industrial projects and other process industries.
  • Good understanding in using Design & Analysis computer software and Engineering Code of Practice
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis.

  • Designing and planning piping systems for industrial projects.
  • Analyzing project specifications and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize gas and fluid flow and efficiency
