Shipper / Receiver - Red Deer - Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage
Summary
Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Shipper Receiver is responsible for ensuring that the shipping, receiving and inventory control of all parts for our internal Customers are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success. This position is located in Red Deer.
NOTE: This is a temporary position, covering for a maternity leave.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Receive all incoming materials, verify quantity and condition to ensure accuracy.
- Bin all materials and stock in designated location(s).
- Fullfill weekly stock order requirements and confirm all transactions in a timely manner.
- Pack and assemble orders in a manner to ensure that the product is damage free when delivered to our internal customers.
- Verify shipment for completeness by piece count and overall weight.
- Complete shipping documentation, contact and schedule pick ups with common carriers.
- Participate in loading and unloading of shipments from inbound and outbound carriers as per established procedures.
- Ensure best practices are executed around Inventory managment and control procedures.
- Participate and complete weekly and annual inventory counts.
- Maintain yard security standards.
- Adhere to established Enerflex safety guidelines and objectives and ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are upheld.
- Develop and sustain a professional and productive relationship with all internal and external contacts.
- Perform other Shipper Receiver duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
- Working knowledge of Forklift operation.
- Basic computer skills; SAP experience and working knowledge of Excel is an asset.
- Previous shipping, receiving or warehouse work experience.
- Ability to multi-task, identify priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Must be self motivated, well organized, and able to work independently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with all departments.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work overtime when required and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Previous parts experience would be considered an asset
- SAP experience considered an asset.
