Mechanical Technician

Perform all assigned maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on mechanical equipment in compliance with EFX procedures to achieve the set availability and reliability targets. Additionally, maintain effective communication with the Supervisor and Operations Team for reliable and trouble-free operation of facility.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform planned & unplanned maintenance activities on mechanical rotating and static equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment and recommend actions for failure avoidance.
  • Carefully handle all tools and equipment provided for performing maintenance activities and maintain their upkeep.
  • Recommend maintenance optimization strategies.
  • Identify, report and if possible, correct unsafe conditions of any kind.
  • Respond to call out duties as required.
  • Monitor the performance of all mechanical equipment through Daily logs.
  • Create the work order in SAP. Update the required information to planners to update in CMMS/SAP.
  • Follow the regular daily, weekly, monthly, and annually checks based on the pre-planned schedules.
  • Ensure Housekeeping and cleanliness of the plant during / after maintenance.
  • Maintain continuous and adequate interaction with the clients and customers as required/designated by Supervisor.
  • Follow the ERT roles and responsibility assigned by the site management.
  • Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-6 year of experience in Operation and Maintenance of reciprocating engines, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment within Oil & Gas industry.
  • Hands on Field experience in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment in particular Caterpillar / Waukesha engines and Ariel / Superior / Dresser rand compressors.
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of natural gas compression and processing facilities.
  • Results oriented, self-driven and self-motivated with the capability of working under stress.
  • Understand the Maintenance Management System (Work orders, Preventive/Corrective/and Predictive Maintenance) methodology.
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory. Good working knowledge of typical Microsoft suite of software is required.
