HSE Manager (Omani national)
Summary
Review and implement the projects HSE documents in line with the EFX, client and International standards. Duties must be performed consistently with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Verify that HSE Plan is current and amended when Project activities or conditions change.
- Verify compliance with the requirements of the HSE Plan, applicable sub-contractor health and safety plan(s) and Client HSEMS requirements and local regulations.
- Manage the site and interfacing with third parties in a manner consistent with our contract/subcontract agreements and the applicable standard of reasonable care.
- Ensure that HSE programs are effectively functioning to prevent and control hazards on the Project Site.
- Ensure the required HSE staff are available at site, including the HSE personnel requirements from sub-contractors.
- Conduct internal inspections/audits as planned and liaison with external parties for external audits (client/3rd party).
- Verify that all employees working on the project have the appropriate level of HSE training, medical surveillance, including required specialty training (e.g., fall protection, confined space entry, PTW)
- Maintain active and visible involvement using open communication with employees on safety issues on the project.
- Attend contractor safety meetings and ask questions about access to work areas, safety hazards, precautions and other safety issues.
- Act as the project Hazard Communication Coordinator and perform the responsibilities outlined in relevant procedures.
- Verify that project HSE forms, permits and checklists are being used.
- Conduct incident investigation and ensure distribution to the management and client representative as applicable.
- Attend HSE meetings as required by the client.
- Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience; minimum 5 years’ HSE experience in relevant oil & gas operations and construction of Oil & Gas projects.
- Hands on experience in conducting day-to-day HSE activities like toolbox talk, Hazard and Effect Management Program, statistics & reporting.
- Knowledge of international and local HSE regulations. NEBOSH – IGC.
- Team Player, respectful, able to work under stress and customer oriented
