Vessel Fitter

Summary

In this role, the Vessel fitter can layout per approved vessel drawings, pass fit-up inspections with minimal oversight, and fit up Fabricated parts to Vessel Shell. Also has few rejected Fit-ups. Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

•    Be capable of performing all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
•    Reads and understands Approved Vessel Drawings.
•    Bridge tacks on all Alloys.
•    Proven record of observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
•    EE must align with EFX visions and values.
•    Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

•    High School Diploma/GED or 1-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
•    Minimum of 2 – 7 years of relevant industrial experience required. 
•    Extensive knowledge of Vessel Drawings.
•    Must be qualified in GMAW and GTAW.
•    Capable of fabrication Vessel Material or Piping Material (versatile)
•    Demonstrates knowledge on the Vessel fitting processes Per ASME.
•    Requires some oversight but demonstrates consistent competence on complex fitups without supervision. 
•    Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 
•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•    May lead and direct the work of othe
rs.

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
