Tool Room Attendant

Department: Tooling and Equipment Readiness

Summary

The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for receiving, inspecting, issuing and storing supplies, tools and equipment in a controlled atmosphere.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Deliver outstanding customer service to the Assembly team and maintain a safe environment.
Look up and print out PO receivers for goods coming in SAP.
Inspect and confirm the quality and quantity of ordered supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
Receive all goods in SAP and make sure all paperwork is correct and documented.
Issue consumables to the Assembly Group using a barcode scanning system, transfer transactions from Excel to SAP and post the transactions
Make sure all tools are up to date on calibrations and certificates.
Check out/in tools to the employees and maintain the sign-out sheet.
Maintain records of all tools that are permanently checked out to employees.
Able to Identify equipment needing repair or replacement and tag accordingly. Tag all tools that need repair and notify the Maintenance Planner.
May have to make minor adjustments and repairs to tools and equipment.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in parts production or maintenance field or in a related area.
Knowledge of tools and equipment with the ability to repair, maintain, adjust, and service tools and equipment is preferred.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and be able to keep records and transactions in an orderly manner and up to date.
Proficient in the use of personal computers, with competent skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams; previous SAP experience is desired.
Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and maintenance processes and procedures is preferred.
Must have basic math skills and can read and write legibly. Must be able to communicate effectively through email, phone, and video conferencing with all levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers.
