Senior Supervisor, Post Fabrication

Summary

Leads safety, quality, and throughput for NDE, PWHT, Hydrostatic Testing, and Component Paint Processes; through a leadership team of supervisors, team leads, and coordinators. Responsible for coaching leaders and building high performing teams on day and nightshift. Fosters a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Improve average duration across Post Fabrication operations (NDE, Hydro, Paint) by maintaining weekly KPI’s above target
  • Reduce Average Hydro and Paint cost per order by 10% in 18 months with an ongoing 2% annual improvement. Measured weekly.
  • Maintain team billable hours above 85%, measured weekly.
  • Manage resources to ensure Post Fabrication is not a bottle neck and supports On-Time-Delivery of orders to assembly.
  • Champion safety culture and ongoing initiatives, targeting zero recordables as a team.
  • Investigate and resolve all non-conformances, implementing process improvements that prevent future deficiencies.
  • Recruit and training a workforce committed to Enerflex Vision and Values.
  • Lead communication and working relations between the day shift and night shift as well as Planning, QA/QC, Spooling, Vessels, HSE, engineering etc.
  • Responsible to ensure all spools and vessels are tested, heat treated, and coated properly.
  • Responsible for the quality of the team’s work and ensuring all work is done to Enerflex, Industry, and project specific requirements.
  • Oversee the movement, staging, and flow of materials in and out of NDE operations. Support the improvement of Shots/Hr. by ensuring timely movement and orders in and out of bunkers.
  • Collaborate with planners to review and influence router durations.
  • Research and evaluating technological advancements and implementing those that are practical for our plant.
  • Manage performance and employee relation issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Champion Enerflex Values and lead by example.
  • Coach and support Supervisors on driving improvements through KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Support resource management by team and skillset. Manage headcount and schedule adjustments based upon workload.
  • Support Supervisors and the Planners on contingency planning and communicating target dates.
  • Support Supervisors and Leads to eliminate deliverable constraints.
  • Support Supervisors with Performance Management of their team.
  • Support and lead the 6S Program by example.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Implementation/Manufacturing desired.
  • Experience with hydrostatic testing and industrial coatings.
  • Ability to read and interpret Enerflex pipe fabrication drawings.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience at a supervisory level in a fast-paced pipe fabrication environment.
  • Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management.
  • Must be a leader of leaders

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis.
