Senior Project Manager - Power Generation
Summary
The Senior Project Manager (power generation) shall develop, detail, and finalize the technical project design for power generation Power Islands utilizing reciprocating gas engines in accordance with the turn-in data developed by the Applications Group and with the assistance of other Engineering Groups. This information shall be presented in the form of detailed project specific; process flow diagrams, process & instrumentation diagrams, general arrangement drawings, structural drawings, electrical drawings, data sheets, bills of materials, process & control narratives and installation, operation & maintenance reference literature. This work along with any other required data must be accomplished whilst complying with the company standards, the project proposal and the customers’ specifications or input. Responsibilities will include commercial and technical aspects of project management.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Lead all engineering groups (process, instrumentation, controls, design & drafting, vessels, purchasing) to deliver final product through installation and commissioning

Own customer-facing commercial discussions: change orders, pricing, schedules, invoicing

Manage large, complex projects (>$50M and/or extensive balance-of-plant scope)

Mentor project engineers and project managers on commercial topics and customer communication

Interface with Enerflex Applications, Engineering teams, and customers

Support proposals by developing estimates and schedules

Lead project handover post-award and ensure alignment on scope and assumptions

Identify customer requirements and resolve technical or execution issues

Clarify technical matters pre- and post-order; attend key internal/external meetings

Lead technical and commercial project decisions

Develop P&IDs, requisition major equipment, and coordinate deliverables

Lead design reviews and ensure customer requirements are understood

Generate engineered BOMs and coordinate multi-site engineering activities

Lead new product development and provide technical support

Manage claims with customers and suppliers in coordination with Legal

Plan and control all project activities

Manage drawing schedules, vendor documentation, costs, and quality

Support shipment, commissioning, and perform site/package walkdowns

Interface with Design & Drafting, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams

Support testing, installation, commissioning, warranty activities

Build customer relationships to strengthen the Enerflex brand
Qualifications
- Up to 25% travel required.
- Engineering or Engineering Technology degree or equivalent background
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience with power generation equipment, process equipment or in manufacturing environments for engineered to ordered equipment
- Experience with installation and construction of power islands preferred
- Strong and analytical problem-solving skills
- Electric knowledge of generators and switchgear preferred
- Experience with reciprocating engines or Turbines preferred
- Solid customer-oriented skills (communicator, explainer)
- Basic knowledge of the fundamentals required by the equipment used in our products:

Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
- Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
- During the installation phase of the project, frequent travel to site is expected.
- May be exposed to confidential information.
- Occasionally required to work non-standard hours including evenings and weekends.
