Sales & Marketing Data Analyst

Summary

The Sales & Marketing Data Analyst will support the sales and marketing team by leveraging data analysis to enhance sales operations processes. The analyst will evaluate company, industry, and competitor data to identify trends, organize and report findings, and provide recommendations to help increase company sales. This role will also ensure that data and processes are accurate, efficient, consistent, complete, timely, accessible, and secure.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Analyzing internal and external sales data to find trends and patterns and to identify areas for improvement
Responsible for data analysis and interpretation using statistical tools, software, and techniques
Provide support to stakeholders to capture relevant data required to drive sales decisions
Using data to prepare sales forecasts
Creating sales reports
Tracking performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Working closely with the sales and marketing team to understand and analyze the impact of marketing and the importance of its activities on sales
Working with stakeholders to understand sales objectives
Monitoring pricing strategies
Providing actionable insights for data-driven decision-making

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies

Sales forecasting
Statistical modeling
Microsoft office, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Sales reporting
Data Analytics
Data Visualization

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two or more years of experience in a data analysis or statistical analysis role
Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills
Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
