Summary

The Reliability Technician will be responsible for proactively monitoring, analyzing, and improving the performance

and reliability of natural gas compression equipment across Enerflex and/or customer’s assets in the United States.

This role uses real-time operational data, diagnostics, and trend analysis to identify equipment issues before

failures, helping maximize uptime, optimize performance, and support safe operations.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor remote telemetry and SCADA systems for compressor packages, engines, auxiliaries, and related field equipment across multiple customer locations.
  • Analyze data to review underperforming units, filter out customer downtime issues. Analyze equipment performance trends, alarms, shutdowns, and operating conditions to identify emerging reliability concerns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identification of gaps in the operation based on KPI metrics and current organizational operation strategy
  • Escalation of non-reliability related gaps to appropriate personnel (data, behavioral, etc.)
  • Review customer unit reliability reporting from telemetry systems and develop a standardize reporting format per contractual requirements

  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for recurring equipment failures, downtime events, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Respond to equipment alerts and abnormal operating conditions in a timely manner and coordinate with field operations, maintenance teams, and customers.
  • Create and manage reliability cases, incident documentation, and equipment event reports within company systems; prioritizing gaps to close or mitigate downtime with continuous improvement projects
  • Provide analysis for failed component replacement with the same component or upgraded component
  • Work with Engineered Systems and Technical Services to optimize package cost from a capital versus maintenance perspective, while collaborating with field technicians, operations personnel, and engineering teams to improve equipment availability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Provide input to unit maintenance practices and timing relative to various compressor package components. Identify opportunities to improve monitoring processes, alarm management, and overall Remote Monitoring Center efficiency.
  • Support startup, commissioning, and post-maintenance performance verification activities through remote diagnostics
  • Review overall fleet reliability and reports to the organization as required
  • Perform monthly unit inspections noting overall appearance of the unit, running status, etc.
