Project Manager
Summary
The role of Project Manager is to lead and guide the development and execution of all planning, design, procurement, and construction from project award, detailed planning and design, construction and commissioning of Gas Compression, Gas Processing, Refrigeration, and Power Generation facilities. The Project Manager has ultimate accountability to deliver a project that achieves contractual scope, schedule, and budget.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordination and supervision of all activities related to the overall project execution including material requisition/expediting, schedule preparation, contract management, cost control, shipping, and quality.
- Protect margin due to scope change; monitor and control project costs using change order management.
- Resolve issues that impact schedule and problem solve potential design and commissioning issues.
- Support development of proposal documentation and detailed estimate for project opportunities.
- Manage all technical and commercial requirements, from project initiation to closeout, in accordance with Enerflex internal processes and contractual obligations.
- Concurrent management of multiple projects.
- Customer main point of contact.
- Customer relationship building.
- Preparation of progress reports.
- Communication of all the project needs and work-scope.
- Validation and oversight of project schedule timelines.
- Initiating as required all internal / external meetings.
- Communicate specifications, inspection, and quality control requirements.
- Participates in planning and contract reviews.
- Participate in technical & project execution questions and problem resolutions.
- Mentor project team members.
- Will involve travel to site locations to verify scope, monitor construction status and / or provide commissioning and start-up support.
- Work closely with project controls validating forecasting and project reports.
Qualifications
Enerflex Energy Systems Inc. seeks Project Manager to lead and guide the development and execution of all planning, design, procurement, and construction from project award, detailed planning and design, construction and commissioning of Gas Compression, Gas Processing, Refrigeration, and Power Generation facilities. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 60 months of experience in project management or related occupation. Must have 5 years of Project Management Experience. Must have 5 years of engineering, design, and construction experience. Must have 5 years of experience using applicable codes and safety regulations. Must have 3 years of experience with gas compression, gas processing and refrigeration equipment. Must have 3 years of experience with EPC projects and fabrication facilities. Must have 3 years of experience validating project forecasts with the Project Controls team and preparing progress reports. Must have 3 years of experience mentoring project engineers and project team members. Up to 15% domestic or international travel may be required. Job location: Houston, TX.
