Project Manager, Key Accounts

Department: Engineering - Reciprocating Compression

Summary

 The role of the Project Manager, Key Accounts is to lead and guide the execution of all the activities related to the overall contract execution including cost control, scheduling, engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, field construction (if applicable), scope changes from project award through field commissioning for targeted clients. This work along with any other required data must be accomplished while complying with the company standards, the project proposal and the clients’ specifications or input.

Projects involve Gas Compression Packages for liquefied natural gas (LNG) gathering applications, including pressure vessels, piping, instrumentation, control systems, cooling systems, valves, and auxiliary equipment. This position coordinates and monitors deliverables across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing teams to ensure alignment with client specifications and project timelines. Serves as the primary client point of contact for manufacturing and construction concerns. Manages scheduling, cost control, material expediting, and shipping logistics across all project phases.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Client main point of contact for all engineering, manufacturing, and field construction concerns, questions, or comments.

• Network and develop relationships with customers to further the Enerflex brand reputation and promise.

• Initiating as required all internal / external meetings.

• Attend certain internal and external meetings (kick off, coordination, HAZOP etc.).

• Perform P&ID walk down of final package to ensure compliance with design.

• Manage and control engineering hours allocated to the job.

• Manage and schedule drawing list submitted to the customer.

• Participate in technical & project execution, answering questions and resolving problems.

• Coordination and supervision of all activities related to the overall project execution including engineering, material requisition/expediting, schedule preparation, cost control, delivery/shipping and quality.

• Communicate and maintain a feedback loop between all parts of the values stream.

• Initiate internal meetings associated with scheduling, feedback, lesson learned, costings, availability, and standardization.

• Continuously work on improvements (cost, functionality, scheduling, etc.) for all Client products and communicate changes/improvements to all parts of Enerflex values stream.

• Consistently advises management concerning client relations/issues.

• Resolve issues that impact schedule, problem solve potential design, commissioning and/or warranty issues for projects.

• Travel to site locations to solicit feedback on scope, quality, commissioning / start-up concerns, operability, cost savings, as well as support for products.

• Manage all technical, commercial, contractual and fabrication requirements, from project initiation to closeout, in accordance with Enerflex internal processes and the project execution plan as established in the proposal phase.

• Organizes the work and project team within the parameters of the company’s standards.

• Concurrent management of multiple client projects.

• Preparation of progress report including managing performance and progress against the plan and ensuring accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans.

• Protect margin due to scope change; monitor and control project costs using change order management.

• Validation and oversight of project schedule timelines.

• Supports the project team in negotiations with major suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, consultants, and others.

• Ensuring quality standards are met in compliance with health, safety, security and environmental codes and standards.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 24 months of experience in project management or a related occupation. Must have 2 years of experience working with Ariel 7 Performance software. Must have 2 years of experience with reciprocating compression packages including process piping, pressure vessels, relief valve sizing, and depressurization systems. Must have 2 years of experience working with ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5, ASME BPVC Section VIII, and API 520/52. Must have 2 years of experience working on international and high spec projects. Must have 2 years of experience with IECEx, ATEX, and Europe PED. Must have 2 years of experience using software including Flexware, SAP ERP Project and Resource Management and Materials Management modules. Must have 2 years of experience managing and executing projects over $35 million. Up to 15% domestic or international travel may be required. 

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
