Production Control Specialist

Summary
We are seeking a tech-savvy, systems-oriented Production Control Specialist to help modernize and streamline operations within a pipe fabrication and ASME pressure vessel manufacturing environment. This role focuses on building digital workflows, improving operational visibility, and coordinating fabrication processes across production, QC, and engineering while maintaining ASME compliance.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Digital Workflow Development:
- Develop and improve digital workflows to replace manual paperwork
- Create systems for tracking WIP, fabrication status, inspections, weld completion, and material movement
- Improve visibility of production inventory across all fabrication stages
Production & Fabrication Coordination:
- Track pipe spool, vessel, and fabrication progress
- Coordinate workflow across fit-up, welding, NDE, PWHT, coating, hydrotest, and QC
- Monitor bottlenecks and production constraints
- Support scheduling and prioritization
Documentation & Traceability:
- Ensure documentation is organized and accessible
- Track heat maps, travelers, MTRs, and inspection records
Systems & Process Improvement:
- Analyze workflows and identify improvements
- Collaborate with Operations, Process Improvement and QC teams
- Continuously refine systems
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in software, systems design, or manufacturing systems
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience building digital tools or dashboards
Preferred:
- Pipe fabrication or pressure vessel experience
- ERP/MRP knowledge
- Familiarity with fabrication documentation
