Pressure Test Technician

Summary

The Pressure Test Technician must have previous experience in production and manufacturing of skid of gas and process unit.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures at Enerflex.
Represent Enerflex in a professional manner at all times in alignment with our Core Values.
Be dedicated to customer service and maintain a professional working relationship with customers and coworkers.
Be able to maintain own tools as well as equipment provided by Enerflex.

Set up pallets of testing equipment as preparation for pressure testing complete units (blinds, gaskets, studs & NPT fittings)
Install correct blinds, gaskets, studs and pipe fittings on specified connections
Test units at specified pressures with necessary medium
Report any leaks or defects found during test to supervisor
Repair leaks within our scope of work
Monitor gauges for pressure drop
Set up oil flush equipment and run flush until clean
Set up vacuum equipment as well as purge units to spec
Record test results i.e. leaks, gauge numbers, test pressures, flush and vacuum data
Clean up equipment and designated area at the end of each job and/or each workday

Daily 5S responsibilities

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED desired.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Make decisions (right tool for the job)
Ability to act quickly in case of an emergency
Ability to work under pressure
Use of basic hand tools and pneumatic tools (pipe wrenches and impacts)
Read and understand P&ID’s
Threaded piping and using a threading machine
Experience in pressure testing, oil flushing, and vacuuming of different systems
Minimum of1 - 5 years of relevant industrial experience

Be able to lead 1-2 people

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role requires a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
