  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements

This position involves a combination of office and field-based work, with approximately 50% of the time spent in a traditional office setting and 50% in various shop or industrial environments.

In the office, duties are typically performed at a desk using a computer and standard office equipment. Tasks may include documentation, reporting, planning, and communication, and may require extended periods of sitting, with occasional standing or walking.

The other half of the role involves visiting multiple shop environments, each of which may have unique safety protocols and operational conditions. While working in these areas, the employee may be exposed to elevated noise levels, moving machinery, and other industrial hazards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and may include, but is not limited to safety toe footwear, hard hat, safety glasses, and ear protection. The employee must comply with all site-specific safety and PPE requirements.

This position also requires regular travel to locations both in-town and out-of-town. Safe operation of a company or personal vehicle is essential, and the employee must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet any applicable vehicle safety requirements. Travel may involve varying road conditions and occasional overnight stays, depending on the location.

Field work may require prolonged periods of standing or walking, navigating uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in variable environmental conditions, including temperature extremes and inclement weather.
