Mechanic

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Read micrometer and have experience with dial indicators.
Heat and install couplings hubs confidently.
Perform soft foot pull down checks on Compressor feet/Engine feet.
Install and align cooler sheaves and belts.
Perform flatness test on compressor frames using FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
Perform rod run outs, cross head clearance checks, check and adjust piston end clearance.
Install distance piece supports and perform proper lift according to manufactures specs.
Install and level compressor cylinders.
Read and understand compressor component balance sheets/lubricator blocks.

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years’ experience in reading drawings mounting and setting reciprocating compressors and Engines/Motors performing coupling alignments using Opt-align and FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
Ability to read and understand ENERFLEX standards and Drawings.
Knowledge and understanding of how gas compressors operate and function.
Expert knowledge of packaging Process and Gas Compression units
Ability to be self-motivated perform high quality work maintain a professional attitude.
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
