Intern- Manufacturing and Fabrication Engineer

This internship will be based in Houston, TX. You will have exposure and the opportunity to broaden your skills through impactful work, mentored relationships, and will gain real world exposure to different projects on the Enerflex team.
Principle Responsibilities & Duties

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Under the supervision of the Director, Fabrication and under the mentorship of the Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer, the successful candidate can expect to:
•    Support Manufacturing Engineer with department initiatives and goals
•    Analyze, modify, and present data from MS Excel spreadsheets used for manufacturing performance indicators
•    Conduct time studies and lead improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes
•    Evaluate opportunities for improvement and new equipment for future implementation
•    Write, format, edit, and update instructions and procedures to be used by manufacturing
Other Responsibilities:
•    Support fabrication processes for multiple fabrication disciplines 
•    Assist Supervisors in area safety audits and inspections.
•    Build new and update existing excel based tools.

Qualifications

  • 2nd year of an Engineering degree complete (in Industrial/ Mechanical or equivalent)
  • Must a be rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program
  •  Minimum of a 3.2 GPA
  • Must be dependable, highly motivated, self-directed, attention to detail, and possess great organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and with team.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Strong Aptitude to learn new skills.
  •  Proficient with Microsoft office
  • Ability to use AutoCAD software
  • Ability to complete a long-term internship with Enerflex
