Hydro Lead

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Hydro Lead is to oversee and coordinate all hydro-related deliverables to Assembly. This role is critical in ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in line with design specifications and quality standards.
The Hydro Lead will also play a key supporting role to the Spool and Vessel Shop Supervisors/Leads, assisting with job coordination, labor hour tracking, and schedule adherence. Maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and efficiency is essential.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Schedule Coordination:

  • Coordinate with Spool & Vessel Shop Leads, Supervisors, and Senior Supervisors to ensure all deliverables are executed according to the project schedule.
  • Keep Supervisor & Senior Supervisor informed of any deviations from the original plan.
  • Coordinate with the Post-Fabrication Coordinator to ensure alignment on all scheduled tasks.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Report any schedule deviations promptly to the Supervisor.
  • Flag any conflicts or concerns related to scope, labor hours, materials, or timelines.

Resource Readiness:

  • Ensure each team has the necessary materials for their assigned tasks.
  • Confirm team completions in a timely manner. (SAP Confirmations)
  • Prepare hydro test paperwork for vessels and spools.
  • Attend Hydro WIP meetings as required.

Labor Oversight:

  • Review and scrutinize all labor hours charged to the project.
  • Ensure overtime is properly reviewed and approved by the Supervisor.

Daily Operations:

  • Lead daily toolbox meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized immediate work area.
  • Ensure tools are returned to tool carts and all cables and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Perform all safety responsibilities in accordance with EFX standards and regulatory leadership requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Candidate must have experience with Isometric drawings.
  • Exceptional attendance and safety record.

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced production environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
