Global Transfer Pricing Specialist
Summary
The Transfer Pricing Specialist will ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations for intercompany transactions while optimizing tax efficiency and supporting strategic financial planning.
This role is critical in mitigating tax risks, optimizing tax liabilities, and aligning pricing strategies with the company’s financial objectives. The Transfer Pricing Specialist will help maintain corporate fiscal health and support strategic decision-making by providing insights into transfer pricing policies for goods, services, and intellectual property exchanged between related entities. The transfer pricing specialist will provide advice on business transactions between related entities. The role will include assistance in transfer pricing analysis, policy development and implementation, and audit support across multiple jurisdictions.
This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including finance and accounting, to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with transfer pricing regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying tax savings and risk management opportunities.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. Office location will be the Enerflex Office in Northwest Houston.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop Global Transfer Pricing Policy
- Implement global transfer pricing strategy.
- Educate cross functions and business on executing global transfer pricing policy
- Assist regions with transfer pricing related queries
- Provide operational transfer pricing advice to current and future business models
- Identify transaction flows and applicable transfer pricing methodologies
- Review Intercompany Agreements for Transfer Pricing
- Create and/or Update and Review Intercompany Agreements
- Analyze Pillar II requirements by jurisdiction including Registrations, QDMTT, and GIR
- Review implications of Base Erosion Profit Shifting (“BEPS”) Reporting
- Review Country-by-Country Reporting (“CbCR”), Local Files, and Master Files
- Review Base Erosion Anti-Avoidance Tax (“BEAT”) implications
- Develop validation of transaction flow margins to be arm’s length
- Review regulatory transfer pricing documentation
- Manage all transfer pricing requirements including master file and jurisdictional reporting
- Review global transfer pricing documentation. This includes review of financial data and benchmarking studies through collaboration with external advisor and regional business teams
- Stay current on important global tax developments to assess impact to the organization
- Participate in in-house global transfer pricing documentation
- Provide support for transfer pricing audits
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical skills; ability to solve complex problems.
- Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
- Comfortable working across multiple time-zones depending on project activity
- Strong collaborative attitude and the skills and ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients
- Take ownership of projects, ensuring their successful planning, execution, and completion
- Partner with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables
- Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics required; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international transfer pricing
- Knowledge of OECD guidelines
- Experience working with large data sets
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
