Benefits Advisor

Summary

As a bilingual Benefits Advisor for Enerflex, you will act as a trusted resource for employee benefits, providing expert guidance and timely resolution to inquiries and issues. Support the administration of core HR processes including new hire onboarding, open enrollment, and qualifying life events. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of benefits transactions while maintaining strong relationships with health insurance vendors to address eligibility and benefit-related matters. Oversee the organization and maintenance of benefits documentation, and conduct regular audits in collaboration with vendors to ensure compliance, accuracy, and data integrity.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

•    Assist employees with benefits related programs in accordance with the plan provisions, including medical, dental, vision, life, flexible spending accounts, health spending accounts, disability plans, 401K plan (retirement), COBRA, etc.
•    Manage benefits documentation and plan documents.
•    Assist with open enrollment process by ensuring accuracy of employee communication materials and facilitate open enrollment sessions.
•    Manage employee level benefits data in ADP Workforce Now, including benefits set up and reporting.
•    Manage vendor relationships, monitor interfaces (eligibility data, employee changes, etc.) and payments.
•    Assist with Qualifying Life Event enrollments.
•    Manage Leave of Absence program
•    Summarize and reconcile benefit vendor invoices for payment.
•    Communicate with vendors to ensure employees’ concerns/complaints are resolved in a timely and equitable manner within guidelines of the plans. 
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•    Communicate plan highlights and changes, and coordinate non-discrimination and compliance testing.
•    Coordinate annual external audits. 
•    Coordinate and/or assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned.
•    Conduct Employee Audit reports to ensure accuracy. Troubleshoot with HR/others as necessary. Input enrollment/change data in a timely manner to coincide with transmittal to vendors and payroll. 
•    Develop new hire orientation education training to newly hired employees regarding benefit programs and enrollment options via webinars

Qualifications

•    Three (3) years of HR/Benefits experience, specifically in health and welfare
•    Experience and proficiency in ADP Workforce Now required
•    Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
•    Strong interpersonal relations skills. 
•    Strong customer service and public relations skills.
•    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
•    Presentation skills. 
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. 
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities. 
•    Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. 
•    Ability to recognize the importance of Safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
•    Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
•    Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, etc. 
•    Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Package, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic travel is possible on occasion.
