Field Foreman

Summary

Reporting directly to the Retrofit Field Supervisor, the Field Foreman will provide leadership in a high-energy field service and manufacturing environment. The field foreman is responsible for but not limited to monitoring job progress and employees within work area as well as ensuring projects are completed to Enerflex standards all while ensuring adherence to Enerflex Health and Safety policies and practices.

 

We require the Field Foreman to have strong communication skills, matched with sound technical, problem solving and decision-making abilities. Your ability to ensure project deliverables are accurate, complete and timely while remaining customer focused, will enable you to deliver the results you need to be successful in this role. You must be able to work effectively within a multi-stakeholder environment and seek to be collaborative on all fronts.

 

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position can be based out of Enerflex’s Grande Prairie or Red Deer location; however consideration will be given to candidates outside of this area.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as a direct liaison with project managers and customer on site during project execution.
  • Provide oversight and task direction to multiple trade disciplines on site.
  • Project execution including sourcing manpower, equipment and materials as needed.
  • Maintain project schedule with a continuous focus on safety and quality.
  • Work to project timelines, often within a tight schedule to minimize overtime and meet completion deadlines.
  • Complete all necessary project documentation which includes but is not limited to daily timesheets, daily reports and quality control documents.
  • Report all incidents/accidents with complete paperwork within the required timelines.
  • Hold daily toolbox meetings and issue the Pre-Job Hazard Assessment (PJHA).
  • Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders as required or requested.
  • Perform inspection of all finished projects to ensure Enerflex quality has been met.
  • Support and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure company policies and core values are adhered to at all times.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid Alberta Journeymen Certificate with Interprovincial Red Sealed Journeyman.
  • Minimum 5 years shop or field packaging experience in gas compression, processing or power generation; previous experience in a leadership capacity considered an asset.
  • Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in ASME, B31.3, Safety Codes would be an asset.
  • Project Management experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and proven leadership qualities.
  • Ability to direct, coach and assign work to a team of employees.
  • Possess sound planning and organization skills.
  • Dependable and reliable, with a proven attendance record.
  • Results oriented and team player.
  • High regard for safety.
  • Ability to travel and work extended shift rotations in the field.
  • Clean drivers abstract must be provided at time of hire.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment health assessment including a drug and alcohol test.
