About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager, you will lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities with a strong focus on inventory optimization. Your role will be critical in ensuring cost-effective purchasing through detailed analysis of inventory and future demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Process:

Assist in formulating and implementing the Procurement & Purchasing Plan/Strategy.

Provide leadership, guidance, and training to Purchasing Officers.

Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including processing MRP Purchase Orders and Stock Transport Orders.

Ensure order confirmations are received and maintain SAP data with validity dates and pricing.

Expedite and monitor outstanding Purchase Orders, updating stakeholders on delays or early deliveries.

Identify and implement new process efficiencies within the Purchasing Team.

Contribute to the development of key performance indicators and provide relevant reports and dashboards.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and processes.
Inventory Management & Analysis:

Efficiently manage inventory to maximize return on investment.

Maintain accurate reporting for inventory movement analysis and make data-based recommendations.

Continuously improve SAP inventory processes.

Conduct weekly inventory analysis reporting.

Identify service improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
-
Review slow-moving and obsolete inventory, making recommendations to reduce/eliminate stock levels.
People Management:

Liaise regularly with supply chain staff across Asia and Australia.

Ensure strong communication channels within and between teams.

Uphold a high-performing team culture and support recruitment and retention of top talent.
Administration:

Complete monthly/weekly summaries and regular reporting as required.

Demonstrated experience in a similar position or operational activities.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

SAP experience (Intermediate/Expert).

Microsoft Office Suite expertise (especially Excel).

Desktop publishing skills are advantageous.

Experience with Power BI.
