Spare Parts Specialist

Summary

Reporting to Manager, Supply Chain, the Spare Parts Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Engineered Systems Engineering and Aftermarket Services teams by managing the spare parts quotation requirements. This salary-based position is responsible for preparing detailed parts quotations, managing vendor relationships. Acting as a key liaison between our Engineering, Service Parts, and Sales, the technician ensures seamless communication and collaboration across divisions and departments. The role also includes responsibility for cross-border logistics coordination and customs documentation.

 

We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success. This role is based at Enerflex’s Southeast Calgary office however candidates outside the Calgary area are welcome to apply. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive spare parts quotations for all Canadian manufactured & remanufactured projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Engineering, Commissioning and Controls, Service Parts, and Sales teams to coordinate spare parts requirements.
  • Manage and evaluate vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely response to requests, negotiate contracts and monitor performance to support operational goals
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation requirements with our preferred carriers to ensure efficiency in cost and delivery of cross-border shipments. Source alternatives as required
  • Intercompany purchase transfer coordination between companies
  • Reconciling and coordinating branch core returns
  • Prepare customs documents for international shipments to support Aftermarket Services

Qualifications

  • Journeyman parts technician or job experience as a parts apprentice in the oil and gas industry required
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management an asset
  • Proven accuracy and efficiency in data entry
  • Proficient intermediate to advance level of knowledge in Excel
  • Preference will be given to applicants with SAP experience
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to prioritize effectively within a fast-paced work environment
