Regional Business Development Manager - E Power
Summary
Reporting to the Business Development Manager- Electric Power, the Regional Business Development Manager, Western Canada is responsible for bringing innovation and vision necessary to expand our Canadian Electric Power business. This individual will need to understand every aspect of our business strategy, operations, and related external factors necessary to grow Enerflex’s position as a power generation solution provider in Canada.
This position requires an innovative mind set and strong interpersonal communication skills with a desire to develop and win business, leveraging our existing regional footprint and presence.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is located out of our Calgary facility; however, we will consider candidates from other locations.
Travel will be required throughout Western Canada, approximately 4-5 days per month.
Responsibilities
- Using market intelligence, assess business opportunities in alignment with strategy to attract and solicit new customers.
- Develop and present creative solutions to prospective customers; negotiate business terms and contracts, lead the closure of deals.
- Understand the Enerflex power offerings, applications and market niches for Electric Power in Western Canada; develop strategies to penetrate these niches.
- Meet with customers and promote our products that align with solutions that will exceed their expectations.
- Support customers in the development of their power projects.
- Identify key events to attend as exhibitor and promote the Enerflex power offerings.
- Organize educational opportunities with customers and engineering firms, to showcase Enerflex solutions.
- Provide regular updates to Business Development Manager – Electric Power on progress and ongoing strategies.
- Collaborate with the other regions to educate and promote Electric Power solutions to align with customer needs.
- Ensure all reporting is completed & submitted in a timely manner.
- Embrace and promote the Core Values of Enerflex through every business interaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is experienced in all facets of Electric Power: sales, design, manufacturing, installation, operation, and service of natural gas electric power, and has a strong understanding of the various electricity markets of western Canada. The ideal candidate is analytical, a collaborator, an influencer, and results drive who engages with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or a discipline which complements the business strategy).
- Minimum 3 years in a related sales or business development roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the electric power industry.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience and proven ability to make cold calls and generate new business.
- Ability to plan and think strategically.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Competence to manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
- Team player with honesty, integrity and an aptitude for working in a collaborative environment.
- Flexibility to effectively manage changing circumstances, last minute requests and changing deadlines.
- Visionary thinker able to exercise considerable independent and professional judgment.
