Project Shipper

Summary

Reporting to the Material Control Supervisor, the purpose of the Material Control Project Shipper is to assist the Project Shipping team in preparing the projects completed by Production for delivery to our customers in the field. This team has a range of responsibilities to ensure a complete and comprehensive hand off of completed projects to our customers.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Must be prepared to perform all tasks with a safety-first outlook.
  • Work with the Material Control Team and help identify ship loose materials that must ship for our projects and communicate with groups upstream and downstream of our department to ensure the most successful outcomes.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts to help gather shipping materials and stage for efficiency and organization.
  • Follow Project Packing Lists to help prepare identified materials to ship to site, and communicate items that may not be on Project Packing Lists or BOL’s to ensure complete documentation. This may also include assistance in creation of Project Packing Lists.
  • Tag Shipping related materials to our standard tagging conventions and stage materials for loading as per our Project Packing Lists.     
  • Assist with loading and preparation of ship loose loads for an efficient and clear loading process.
  • As Material Control with Enerflex has a robust traceability process, duties include being able to take accurate and comprehensive photos of all goods packaged and tagged as per Material Control standards and transfer those photos into appropriate areas in the Project Folder. (Photos of items during crating, completed units loading, photos of material loaded on trailers with tags for the purposes of proof of shipment, etc).
  • Assess condition of ship loose materials and loads and ensure meet our safety and quality standards for the most successful hand off to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Forklift Ticket and Experience is strongly recommended.
  • Basic Computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Access is considered an asset.
  • SAP or similar software experience considered a definite asset.
  • Previous shipping/receiving work experience would be considered a definite asset.
  • Ability to multi-task, identify priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively with all branch departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill.
