IT Finance Team Lead

Summary

Reporting to the Finance and Project Systems IT Manager, the IT Finance Team Lead will be part of a team of SAP specialists that support modules Finance, Controlling and Project Systems. As a lead analyst, you will mentor other team members in the each of these modules in SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules (MM, CS, SD, PM, PP).

 

The ideal candidate will be able to drive analysis and efforts in designing, developing and delivering changes and act as a liaison between functional and technical/development groups. With the small size and dynamic nature of the team, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and prepared to learn and support other areas of the business if required over time. 

 

The desired individual has strong financial business acumen and is an excellent communicator, capable of explaining the technical elements and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to bring projects to completion efficiently and effectively.  To be successful, this role will need to build strong relationships with key finance stakeholders and have a desire to understand our business.

 

This team supports Enerflex businesses in Canada, USA, Latin America, the Middle-East, Australia and South-East Asia.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide leadership in the Finance, Controlling and Projects IT functional areas.
  • Provide SAP system support and guidance ensuring daily operations are running smooth, which includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, and managing the support ticket queue.
  • Configuration and daily support of SAP FICO and PS modules.
  • Drive analysis and efforts in designing, developing and delivering changes.
  • Optimize SAP FICO and Projects Systems functionality.
  • Collaborate with other analysts in the support of SAP systems to support the business in all Enerflex regions.
  • Build strong relationships with key finance stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Follow technology standards, policies and support processes.
  • Work with the business teams to ensure issues are clearly understood, alternative options are explored and that various business stakeholders understand proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate the testing of new IT solutions with the business as required to ensure a well delivered solution. This includes working with Subject Matter Experts and IT to develop and execute test scripts as part of project test phases and that align with business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, Accounting or Finance or other combination of Education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of SAP configuration experience in the Finance & Controlling module.
  • 5+ years of SAP experience in Project Systems module.
  • Accounting, Controlling, Project Management, and Cost Controls business acumen required.
  • Strong integration knowledge of other SAP modules required (MM, CS, SD, PM, PP).
  • Experience with Capital Project Management modules preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Concur preferred.
  • Experience with both SAP ECC 6 and SAP S4/HANA preferred.
  • Demonstrates superior analytical skills in evaluating business requirements, issues, complex challenges determining appropriate business solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organization skills are essential.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating small to large teams in working sessions.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional travel will be required.
