IT AI Analyst
Summary
Enerflex is building practical, AI-enabled capabilities that make day-to-day work faster, more consistent, and more scalable. As an IT AI Analyst, you’ll partner closely with business and IT teams to turn real operational problems into production AI solutions.
This role is responsible for taking AI use cases from initial concept through sustained production use in a regulated, enterprise environment. You will be accountable for solution quality, operational reliability, and business adoption—not just model accuracy.
Your initial focus will be building AI tools that help Engineers streamline and standardize the estimation process. Over time, you will expand into additional AI use cases across the business, helping establish repeatable patterns for safe, scalable AI delivery at Enerflex.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of the Enerflex South East Calgary office at 4700 47th St SE, Calgary.

- Build or coordinate delivery of AI solutions (in-house and/or with specialized external partners).
- Validate outputs with business SMEs and iterate toward reliable, measurable value.
- Support model development, training, evaluation, and deployment into production workflows.
- Design and maintain inference services or lightweight UI/workflows that integrate with business processes.
- Apply appropriate approaches (e.g., statistical models, machine learning, generative AI, rule‑based logic, or hybrids) based on the use case.
- Monitor performance, detect drift or hallucinations, and drive continuous improvement (retraining, tuning, and rule updates).
- Partner with SAP, Microsoft, and other platform teams to align with Enerflex architecture and integration standards.
- Incorporate product rules/configurations/constraints into AI workflows where required.
- Identify delivery, data, or operational risks early and propose practical mitigations.
- Maintain operational runbooks, documentation, and support processes for AI solutions.
- Drive structured knowledge transfer from vendors to internal teams.
- Help establish repeatable patterns, standards and best practices for AI delivery at Enerflex.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and the ability to apply them to real business problems.
- End-to-end understanding of the AI lifecycle: data sourcing → training/development → inference → validation → deployment → monitoring and improvement.
- Solid foundation in data work including defining data needs, assessing quality, and supporting preparation or feature development.
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; able to explain trade-offs and drive decisions.
- Experience coordinating external delivery partners and structuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Strong documentation, operational thinking, and ownership mindset.
Qualifications
- University degree or technical diploma in IT, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.

- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or Engineer-to-Order environments.
- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft-centric landscapes (e.g., SAP ECC6, S/4HANA, M365, and Azure).
- Exposure to governance, auditability, and control considerations in regulated or SOX‑relevant environments.
