Financial Analyst, FP&A

Summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support the company’s internal financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Reporting to the Team Lead, Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial insights, enhancing forecasting models, driving data integrity, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization.

 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑region environment. This position is based out of Enerflex's corporate office at Stampede Station. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts/Budgets
  • Assist in developing the Corporate function’s budget and forecast, ensuring alignment with financial targets
  • Maintain and enhance financial models to support forecasting accuracy and scenario planning
  • Analyze forecast results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support preparation of management reporting packages, dashboards, and variance analysis
  • Develop clear, concise insights explaining business performance drivers
  • Assist with preparation of materials for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee under the guidance of the Team Lead and Manager, Internal Reporting & FP&A
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data within planning and reporting systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in consolidation, planning, and reporting outputs
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, processes, and system configurations
  • Partner with regional finance teams to collect, review, and validate financial submissions
  • Support business partners with data, insights, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process through timeline support, data validation, and stakeholder coordination
  • Assist in building standardized reporting templates and processes to drive efficiency
  • Support the Team Lead in process improvements and departmental initiatives
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; working toward a CPA/CFA an asset
  • 2–4+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, or FP&A
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with planning systems (BPC, SAC, OneStream, etc.) considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and problem‑solving aptitude
