Engineering Data & Document Coordinator - 6 Month Contract
Summary
Enerflex is seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded professional to join our team as an Engineering Data & Document Coordinator on a 6-month temporary contract. Reporting to the Supervisor of Document Control, this role is pivotal in managing complex technical documentation and ensuring accurate data entry. While administrative in nature, success in this position requires a strong technical foundation and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties
- Compile and update equipment data sheets, material take-offs, and manufacturing travellers, entering technical values with numerical accuracy.
- Format and prepare technical reports, transmittals, and hard-copy packages for internal teams and external clients.
- Collaborate daily with Mechanical, Process, and Project Engineering to verify document compliance with client requirements and industry codes.
- Support continuous improvement by refining document workflows, templates, and naming conventions.
- Coordinate printing, scanning, and archiving activities, ensuring both digital and physical records remain secure and traceable.
Qualifications
- Keen to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications; familiarity with P&IDs is highly valued.
- Strong numerical aptitude for reviewing drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with document-management platforms is an asset.
- Experience in document control or administrative support within an engineering/manufacturing environment is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data accuracy.
- Clear, concise communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.
