Compression Engineering Intern
Summary
Reporting to the Compression Engineering Supervisor, the Compression Engineering Intern is a fundamental asset to the engineering process bringing innovation and ingenuity to the team. The successful candidate will manage a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of the Enerflex South East Calgary office at 4700 47th St SE, Calgary.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or an Engineering Lead, successful candidates would:
- Conduct engineering calculations using Enerflex proprietary programs (sizing of vessels, lines, control valves, PSV’s, etc.)
- Participate in the development of the P&ID and BOM to meet project scope
- Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and manufacturing teams
- Provide details of RFI (Request for Information) to assist Project Managers define costs and change orders
- Review AutoCAD drawings based on client specifications
- Communicate with clients and vendors
- Prepare engineering documents and manuals
Qualifications
- 3rd year of Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program complete
- Skills related to the engineering program
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Aptitude to learn new skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD and P&ID drawings would be an asset
