Accounts Receivable Administrator (Temporary - Maternity Leave Coverage)

Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Administrator is responsible for maintaining accounts receivable collections at 85% current or above. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely customer payments and supporting overall financial health.

This is a temporary 12-month position to cover a maternity leave, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Proactively contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding balances.
Investigate, reconcile, and resolve customer balance disputes in a timely manner.
Record clear, concise notes for each customer contact related to collections.
Present monthly outstanding receivables reports to branch teams via Microsoft teams.
Review and maintain the AR mailbox to address customer inquiries promptly.
Provide backup support for cash application processes.
Submit invoices through online platforms such as Open Invoice, Cortex, and Ariba.
Conduct credit application background checks as required.
Perform additional duties and tasks assigned.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience and/or working knowledge of SAP.
Familiarity with third-party invoicing platforms a must.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
Outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
Team-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
