Logistics & Quick Start Supervisor
Summary
Provides direct and indirect supervision to direct reporting leads and 10-12 employees. Assigns and supervises project assignments and daily responsibilities. Develops, reviews, and enforces procedures and standards to include quality control of shipment preparation, preservation, and documentation. Provides guidance to assembly personnel, engineering and the shipping team regarding dimensional and weight restrictions to ensure efficient project logistics domestically. Constantly assess and understand risk to ensure all activities are in the best interest of Enerflex.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Interface with assembly and engineering teams to ensure requirements and recommendations for domestic and international transport are considered, to include equipment design and dimensional consideration, and disassembly and re-assembly of gas processing equipment
- Provide coordination and supervision for inbound and outbound shipments, to include arranging domestic and international shipments as needed and for special projects
- Proactively track project details and develop contingencies for potential issues with movement timelines
- Administrative management of shipping personnel, including work schedules, approving hours and tracking absences and authorized vacation/sick days
- Develop, maintain, and enforce department policies and standards
- Maintain knowledge of and enforce compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations
- Maintain and review records of shipping activities and inventory management
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and vendors, including negotiating prices and establishing authorized vendor/carriers
- Coordination with vendors as needed to arrange for necessary crating or packing per Enerflex standards, and arranging shipments direct from vendor to site
Qualifications
- Must have minimum 10 years’ experience in gas processing logistics
- Preferred experience with assembly or service of gas processing equipment
- Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must have knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and be familiar with permitting processes and timelines.
- Must be able to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and technical drawings
- Able to accurately manage several tasks simultaneously, paying detailed attention to schedules.
- Must have solid communication skills both written and verbal to clearly communicate with internal and external customers.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification preferred.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational load.
Physical Requirements
Fast-paced general Industrial/office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. While performing duties of the job the employee will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
This role will require constant standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking. It may also require lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs.
