Accounting Associate I

Summary

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for monitoring incoming payments ,issuing receipts in the ERP system, preparing weekly aging reports, obtaining daily bank statement reports, updating receipt transactions in the working file, reconciling bank accounts, AR balances, and WHT receivables, preparing monthly general ledger details, recording accrued revenue not yet billed within the month, ensuring timely collections, following up on long-outstanding AR, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, and preparing other ad-hoc report assignments.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Issuing Receipt

  • Obtaining daily bank statement reports

  • Record incomings receive in working file

  • Issue tax receipts in ERP system

Bank, Related Accrued, WHT Receivable and AR Reconciliation

  • Reconcile AR balances monthly

  • Record accrued revenue not yet billed

  • Prepare monthly general ledger details

  • Prepare bank reconciliation

AR Aging Report

  • Prepare weekly AR aging reports

  • highlight overdue accounts

  • Share reports with relevant teams for follow-up

Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Follow up with the sales and operation teams on pending documents or approvals

  • Support WHT income reconciliation

  • Coordinate with auditors

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce and Accountancy or Business Administration

  • Major: Accounting

  • Experience: 2–5 years in Accounts Receivable

  • English: Good command of English (written and reading)

  • Computer Skills:

    • Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

    • Hands-on experience with SAP

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management

  • Solid understanding of invoicing, collections, and payment reconciliation
