Electrical Engineer III
Summary
Prepare Basic & detail Electrical design, engineering activities for the assigned project(s) in Petrochemical Plants, Oil & Gas Plants in accordance with the Company established procedures
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform all aspects of the discipline scope for the project, design, calculations, sizing and selection of equipment’s
- Implement requirements including technical integrity, safety in design and sustainable design where applicable
- Liaise with other engineering and technical personnel including personnel from other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are met
- Ensure planned Electrical engineering progress with respect to the engineering deliverables for Tenders and awarded projects
- Prepare & Issue RFQ’s, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, & Technical Bid Analysis
- Review vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations
- Plan and schedule activities, manpower and resource forecasts and ensure utilization of resources effectively and efficiently
- Participate in HAZOP session and close all HAZOP recommendations
- Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field that is natural gas processing and compression packaging industry
- Strong knowledge of basic and detailed Electrical engineering for gas compression and gas processing equipment
- Experience with Electrical design and calculation software packages such as Etap preferred
- Well conversant with engineering standards such as IEC, ATEX, CSA, API, ANSI and ISA
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team Player, organized, systematic, able to work within a diverse cultural environment
Physical Requirements
Flexibility is essential. 80% office base environment, 20% remote site visits
